Ed's latest editorial: Fuse or Level? Which Hybrid line to Choose? What's the Best Use for Each Nonhybrid in JWA? Here is Ed's take.

Various dinosaurs on a green background with "BEST USE FOR EVERY NONHYBRID" text. Includes Jurassic World Alive logo.

So, this is a list that takes every nonhybrid in the game that can be used in hybridization, and I give my take on what the best use is for that creature’s DNA. For example, if I have to choose between leveling a bad epic like Ouranosaurus itself or use its DNA for its hybrids, I use the DNA on the hybrids. However, it’s not as simple as that. Sometimes in a single hybrid line, a lower rarity component may outclass its future hybrid relative to its own rarity. Indominus Rex is a good case here. Indominus Rex is a better legendary than Indoraptor is as a unique. And speaking of that line, there are many nonhybrids that branch out and then make hybrids that branch out again- such as Concavenator. This leads to many different uses for a nonhybrid's DNA. Then there are the creatures that have one or two good uses, while others are just bad (but I will still give my thoughts and begrudgingly pick one). On top of that, there are many scenarios where a line has different desirable options to pick from that are all just as valuable as the other. So, this list goes through them all and I give my thoughts on what I believe the optimal choice is.

NONHYBRIDS A-Z

ACROCANTHOSAURUS: I would say the best use for this Epic right now is probably on Acrocanthops, but Acrocanthosaurus itself is a bad investment. Avoid Parasauthops as its just not good.

AIULURARCTOS: The nerf to Ferocious Shielded Heal has basically made this Epic mediocre. Arctocanis hasn't had much time to shine and could be a sound investment, but more testing and practice are needed. Eremocanis is already beginning to make an impact on the arena meta, so go for the Apex.

ALANQA: Alankydactylus is one of the stronger creatures in the game, so Alankydactylus is your best investment.

ALBERTOSAURUS: Albertosaurus is best used on Megalocevia or Albertosaurus itself. Megalocevia is a solid Apex, and Albertosaurus is one of the strongest Rares around, so either of these is fine. The Uniques in this line, however, stink and shouldn’t be considered all that much.

ALLOSAURUS: Allosaurus isn’t all that useful. The best use of Allosaurus is on itself or maybe Allosinosaurus. It’s hard to choose, but neither is that great to start, so yeah—unfortunate.

ALLOSAURUS GEN 2: Magnaraptor is your best bet here. It isn’t the top of the Apex tier list, but compared to everything else, Magnaraptor is the best use of Allosaurus Gen 2.

AMARGASAURUS: This one can be one or the other. I would say spend it on Plateorex, but Plateopikasaurus is also great. Atrocodistis isn’t as great as it was, and everything else is just mediocre.

AMPELOSAURUS: This is a decent Epic, but compared to Ampelorex, there is absolutely no competition. Ampelosaurus has checks in the Epic format. Ampelorex has about five in its own rarity and the one above it combined, and it can RNG its way out of some of those. This is an easy choice.

AMPHICYON: I would say your best use of Amphicyon DNA is Sah Panthera. Indochicyon isn’t far behind, and Sah has been nerfed, but Scutophicyon and Rinchicyon aren’t amazing either. Everything in this line is just fine, with Sah being the best in my opinion.

ANDREWSARCHUS: I remember when Andrewsarchus was insane, and now it is just mediocre, with all of its hybrids being mediocre. I would say hold & wait with this DNA; no need to use those resources. But if I had to pick, I would still go Andrewsarchus

ANGEL: Angel can only be used on herself, so Angel by default.

ANIMANTARX: Animantarx is mediocre in terms of Epics, but its hybrid isn’t. Sarcomantarx is pretty solid and is easily the better of the two in their respective rarities.

ANKYLOSAURUS: It's really between Trykosaurus and Trykovenator here. Ankylosaurus is a decent epic now as well and Rajakylosaurus has yet to see major play yet in a tournament and could be an option. However, the rest are not worth the time.

ANKYLOSAURUS GEN 2: Like Alanqa, Alankydactylus is your best bet. However, Tyrannodactylus cannot be ignored either, as almost everything in this hybrid line is pretty good. Heck, Ankylocodons were sweeping me in the recent Legendary Advantage tournament when I ran out of Fierce options.

ANTARCTOPELTA: Trykovenator. Glyptosavis is kinda stinky, and Antarctovenator isn’t great either. Trykovenator is and is your best use of Antarctopelta.

ANUROGNATHUS: This one, like Andrewsarchus, is hard because both it and Ardontognathus aren’t good. I would say Anurognathus can be more annoying and is probably my pick, but your best bet is to hold onto the DNA for now.

APATOSAURUS: Like Amargasaurus, Plateorex and Plateopika are your best bets.

ARAMBOURGIANIA: Everything in this line is awful, but Geminideus doesn’t stink as bad, so that’s what I say is the best use of this rare Pterosaur or just hold the DNA if that sauropod holds no appeal for you.

ARCHAEOPTERYX: Argenteryx is still a bit of a pain, so that is the clear winner.

ARCHAEOTHERIUM: All three options in Archaeotherium, Keratoporcus, and Inosotherium aren’t good, but Inosotherium does have Brawl potential. I normally wouldn’t mention Brawl, but I got nothing.

ARCTODUS: Segnotherisaurus, and that shows just how lousy this rare is. The Apex is trash, the Legendary is trash, Arctodus itself is trash, and while the Unique isn’t super good, it can do something.

ARCTOPS: I would say, like Acrocanthosaurus, go for Acrocanthops. Andrewtops isn’t good, and Parasauthops isn’t great either.

ARGENTAVIS: Lystrosavis has cool moves, but that's about it, so go Argenteryx. It can still be a pain in Epic formats.

ARGENTINOSAURUS: All the hybrids that use Argentinosaurus are not good within their rarities or in general. Argentinosaurus doesn’t, however, and is probably the best use of this DNA- or again, you can wait & hold.

ARMBRUSTER'S WOLF: Eremocanis is a very solid Apex and is probably the right choice, but Arctocanis could have potential. Stick to these two however.

BAJADASAURUS: Protonodon is a great Unique, and it can do well in the arena with all these Apex creatures too. Proto Lux is a good option too, but Protonodon is what I would say is the best use.

BARYONYX: Baryonyx isn’t bad and is a good use of the DNA and probably the second-best use of it, but anyone who has fought a Gryganyth knows how frustrating it can be. It is a High Tyrant and top of the meta. I would say Gryganyth.

BARYONYX GEN 2: Bary Gen 2 is also good like its Epic counterpart. If you pretend like Spinonyx doesn’t exist, almost everything it goes into is usable. Indolycan can have its occasional moment, and Aenocyonyx and Thylaconyx can be decent. Aenocyonyx or holding the DNA is the meta choice, but I'm gonna level my Bary Gen 2 for that off meta choice in rare tourneys.

BEELZEBUFO: Frog! This one is prime for a hybrid now that Panda has gotten hers. Probably hold.

BETA: Compsovenator. Beta isn’t very strong in the Epic format, and Compsoraptor has seen better days. Compsovenator, however, is a top meta threat.

BLONDE: Blonde has no hybrid currently and is a solid Epic herself.

BLUE: Sadly, Blue is kind of stinky right now, and Indoraptor Gen 2 isn’t faring much better. Indolycan isn’t amazing but can be useful in certain tournament formats. Holding this DNA is the wise choice for now. If I had to choose, probably Indolycan is the way to go, which isn't saying much.

BRACHIOSAURUS: I would say Brachiosaurus is a better use of this DNA over Ardentismaxima. However, both aren’t great.

BRONTOTHERIUM: Brontotherium is a good Common, but I would say Brontolasmus is the better of the two, especially after its buff.

BRUNETTE: Like her sister, she has no hybrid but is a solid Epic.

BUCK: While the Buck is a solid Legendary, Ampelorex is by far the best Unique and sits fairly comfortable within the top five in general.

BUMPY: Poor Bumpy hasn’t received great treatment. I would say the best use for her DNA would be for Proto Lux.

CARBONEMYS: The turtles have also seen better days. I guess Indonemys would be my pick for the best use of the DNA, seeing as almost everything using Carbonemys has been struggling. Testacornibus may be another option as a wall, though it’s not quite the powerhouse it used to be.

CERATOSAURUS: Ceratosaurus has fallen off a bit, but it’s still decent. However, Cerastegotops is a better option here, acting as an Apex with more utility than Ceratosaurus as a Unique.

CERVALCES: Cervalces’ best use is for itself, and it really goes to show how underwhelming this line is. It was a strong Rare back in the day, but it’s been shelved for a long time now. Hold.

CHARLIE: Charlie is the one raptor from the Jurassic World raptor pack that always gets left behind. Erlikogamma isn’t a bad hybrid, but it doesn’t perform well anymore either. I would probably say go Erlikogamma, but don't really bother too much.

COELUROSAURAVUS: This one is another case of “They’re both fine but outclassed these days.” So, I guess either one is fine, but I would say Coelhaast is the better option, especially considering more restrictive formats being introduced.

COMPSOGNATHUS: Compsocaulus is still arguably the worst unique, while Compsognathus is a decent Epic, so Compsognathus it is.

COMPSOGNATHUS GEN 2: Compsovenator wins out. As with Beta, Compsovenator is a meta threat while everything else in the line is only “fine” at best.

CONCAVENATOR: Concavenator is a good Epic, Concakuisaurus is a good Legendary, and Concatoloch is a decent Apex. However, Concatosaurus is the real standout hybrid from this line. You also have Diplovenator’s line with top arena contender Trykovenator and Glyptosavis being solid Apex creatures. At the end of the day, I'm going with Concatosaurus. I would avoid Diplovenator and Antarctovenator however, but it's neither of these two are like really bad. As for Concavenator, I use it and do not sleep on it. It can be a pain in the butt to remove if you cannot break it, even for the better legendaries.

CRICHTONOSAURUS: Proto Lux is the one to use this DNA for. It’s not a bad Apex and can do some interesting things with its Cheat Death ability.

DAKOTARAPTOR: I would say Dakotanops here or hold the DNA for now. Dakotanops did get some love recently, even though the cheat death move it received doesn’t fit well with it. Still, the other options here aren’t great.

DARWINOPTERUX: Pterovexus is the way to go. Apologies to the three Stygidaryx fans out there, but Pterovexus has a clear advantage and is a tier above the rest.

DEINOCHEIRUS: Dilorizon is somewhat slept on and is much stronger in an Apex environment compared to Diloracheirus in a Unique environment.

DEINONYCHUS: Poukandactylus is a solid Unique and has many tools at its disposal. The other options in this line aren’t as good, so go with Poukandactylus.

DEINOTHERIUM: Both options here aren’t great, you are better holding here and saving your resources. If I had to pick, Deinotherium, but don't bother.

DELTA: Delta has a few good options to choose from. I would say Magnaraptor is by far the best.

DILOPHOSAURUS: Dilorizon is again the best option here. The line with Oviraptor is just bad and should be avoided.

DILOPHOSAURUS GEN 2: Plateorex is probably the best choice here. It’s fallen off a bit, but it still has great tools at its disposal. Not to mention, everything else in both lines is underwhelming.

DIMETRODON: Dimetrodon is a big one. You can either go for Postimetrodon, which leads to Gryganyth or Skoonametrodon, or you can go for Magnaraptor. The Apex creatures are the ones to focus on here, as everything else in these lines is just “good” at best. Gryganyth is probably the best of the best, but Magnaraptor isn’t a bad alternative.

DIMETRODON GEN 2: Everything, minus Monolomoth, has fallen off, so Monolomoth wins by a mile here.

DIMORPHODON: Dimorphodon’s line is very solid, as everything except Dimorphodon itself is viable. Dimodactylus is a top Epic, Skorpiodactylus is a decent Legendary, Skorpiostegotops is a top Unique, and Cerastegotops is a top Apex. Dimodactylus might be the best of the bunch, as Jam City is unlikely to let it fall into obscurity. So this is another one where it depends on your focus in the game.

DIPLOCAULUS: Diplocaulus’ best use is for itself or to hold the DNA for now. The hybrids in this line are either outdated or disappointing.

DIPLOCAULUS GEN 2: It’s either Trykovenator or Glyptosavis. I’d lean toward Trykovenator, but Glyptosavis has a few tricks up its sleeve.

DIPLODOCUS: Diplodocus has good stats, but I’d say Geminideus beats it out, as it can act as a wall against many creatures. However, one of these two is what you should focus on. Geminititan is not recommended.

DIRE WOLF: Aenocyonyx is the best of the bunch and has been in terms of performance, relatively speaking.

DOE: The Doe is a very scary Legendary, but Tyrannodactylus is an even scarier Unique. Either one is fine, as both perform well in their respective rarities and can do well against the rarity above them.

DODOS: Both are bad. I would say Dodocevia, but honestly, don’t bother with either. Hold that DNA!

DOEDICURUS: Tyrannodactylus is solidly the best, sitting among the top 3 Uniques. However, everything in this line is generally solid.

DRACOREX: It’s between Dracorex and Draco Lux. I’d probably say Draco Lux, as stun and affliction with bleed make for a deadly combination that everyone has to respect.

DRACOREX GEN 2: Nominrex is probably the best use here, as it does huge damage and can be a great closer. Everything else using the DNA is only good at best.

DRACOVENATOR: Dracovenator is a decent Unique, but Compsovenator is a great Apex, so Compsovenator is what you should aim for.

DREADNOUGHTUS: Dreadactylus is a good Legendary, but Alankydactylus is arguably one of the best in the game. That’s the one I’d recommend.

DSUNGARIPTERUS: Dsungascorpios is a flock with one of the best counters in the game and one of the best attacking moves, so it’s clear why this is the best choice for this line.

ECHO: While Blue may struggle due to her line being subpar, Echo is in a better position because there’s one more addition before the two share a line: Indominus Rex Gen 2. I use this in the Library, and it’s a great answer to lower Gryganyth, as well as top Epics like Brunette. Indominus Rex Gen 2 is by far the best use of Echo’s DNA.

EDAPHOSAURUS: Megalocevia is a solid Apex. Its rend immunity and strong moves help it perform well. Compared to other options, this is the best way to utilize Edaphosaurus.

EDMONTOSAURUS: Protonodon, by a mile. Proto Lux is on par with Protonodon, but everything else in this line is mediocre or bad. Protonodon is definitely a top 5 Unique, and arguably top 3. Easy choice.

EINIOSAURUS: Rajadorixis is currently in the top 3 overall and is probably the best use of Einiosaurus. Sarcorixis is another very solid option and should not be ignored. Einiosaurus also has other good uses, like Pyrorixis. However, Rajadorixis is the best option here.

ELASMOTHERIUM: Everything using Elasmotherium these days is fine at best, but Brontolasmus stands out. Brontolasmus is solid, so it’s probably the best option for Elasmotherium’s DNA.

ENTELODON: While Entelodon received a decent buff, Entelomoth got an even better one (though they could’ve added Trample for impact, but that’s just me). I think Entelomoth might be the better option over Entelolania at the end of the day.

EREMOTHERIUM: This sloth had fallen off in the common format a while ago and Eremoceros was just buffed, but not enough to compete all that well. Apex Eremocanis however is already beginning to make a splash in the arena- so that's probably your best bet

ERLIKOSAURUS: Erlikosaurus is a bad Epic, and Erlidominus isn’t much better as a Unique. However, Erlidominus has Revenge Cloak and Ferocious Cunning Impact, which is a ridiculously powerful combo. Erlidominus is the clear choice here, but just hold this DNA for now.

ERLIKOSAURUS GEN 2: Like its Epic counterpart, this Rare has been forgotten, as have its hybrids. I’d say, like Charlie, that Erlikogamma is the better option, as Erlikospyx is a bottom-tier Unique. The best option, however, is to hold this DNA & see what develops.

ESTEMMENOSUCHUS:This Unique has no hybrids, so its best use is on itself.

EUCLADOCEROS: This deer has two hybrid lines. The Testacornibus line, while beefy, cannot compete with the new apex Eremocanis. And whatever you do, don't waste your epic Eucladoceros DNA on itself. It's really bad.

EUOPLOCEPHALUS: The best use for my favorite dinosaur is on itself, as Euoplocephalus is a top-tier Common. Atrocodistis is another option for Uniques, but it has fallen off heavily.

FUKUISAURUS: Concatosaurus is the clear winner here. Concakuisaurus isn’t bad, but Concatosaurus is just far more annoying and effective. Fukuimimus has taken a few blows and Concatoloch is arguably worse than its unique parent.

GALLIMIMUS: Pterovexus is the easy answer here. Monomimus isn’t a bad choice with its new Cheat Death ability and Darting Counter, but Pterovexus is a great Unique that performs well with stronger teammates.

GHOST: While Pyrorixis is solid, as mentioned before, Rajadorixis is the best option overall, sitting comfortably in the top 3.

GIGANOTOSAURUS: Gryganyth is the best use for Giganotosaurus, but Giganotosaurus itself isn’t a bad investment either. I’ve had mine for a while, and it’s served me quite well.

GIGANTSPINOSAURUS: Gigantspinoceratops is a good Unique, but you could probably get away with swapping it for Gigantspinosaurus itself. This thing is an insanely powerful Epic, and it’s easily what you should focus on.

GIRAFFATITAN: Nodopatatitan seems to be the go-to option as a wall against Legendary Cunning creatures. However, both options aren’t amazing.

GLYPTODON: Glyptodon is a decent Common, but it’s been overshadowed by Euoplocephalus. Apex Glyptosavis is your best bet here.

GORGONOPS: Both Gorgonops and Dakotanops received Cheat Death abilities, but I think Gorgonops will see more success than Dakotanops later down the line.

GORGOSAURUS: Megalocevia is by far the best use of Gorgosaurus’ DNA. The rest of its hybrids and options aren’t great.

GRACILIRAPTOR: This mediocre Non-Hybrid doesn’t have a Hybrid, so hold this DNA for now.

GRYPOSUCHUS: Gryposuchus is a fine Epic, but the best way to utilize this Epic is by hybridizing it, as all its hybrids are solid. Grylenken is on my personal arena team and can take down top threats like Magnaraptor in one hit with its critical multiplier. Ovylenken is the weakest of its hybrids but can still be a scary creature with a proper setup. A better Unique option, however, is Grypolyth. Grypolyth is a tanky passive threat that can dish out Rend and Bleed damage. The best hybrid with Gryposuchus is Apex Gryganyth. Gryganyth is a top-tier Meta threat that can heal repeatedly, making it one of the strongest choices. So, as long as you avoid using Gryposuchus itself, you’ll be in a good position.

HAAST EAGLE: Poukandactylus is the best use by a mile. The other two hybrids are mediocre, and Haast Eagle itself is rather underwhelming.

HAAST EAGLE GEN 2: Both this Rare and Aquilamimus are pretty lackluster, wait for something better to come down the line. If I had to pick, Aquilamimus I guess. Just sit on the DNA.

HATZEGOPTERUS: Hatzegopterus is relatively mediocre, and it’s likely the best use here, but that speaks volumes about how poor this line is overall.

IGUANODON: This Common is the best Common in the game. However, I’d recommend choosing between Iguanodon or Protonodon. Protonodon is a top 3 Unique and incredibly dangerous with its healing and damage output. Proto Lux is okay, but the rest of the line doesn’t stand out.

INOSTRANCEVIA: I’d go with Megalocevia. Inostrancevia is also an option, but other Commons have emerged to provide competition. Albertocevia has also fallen off a bit. Just avoid the other hybrids—they’re all subpar.

IRRITATOR: This Rare is arguably the worst PvP Rare in the game, but Magnaraptor is a great Apex and should be the hybrid of choice.

IRRITATOR GEN 2: This Common has four decent hybrid options: Suchotator, Thylos Intrepidus, Pantherator, and Sah Panthera. Suchotator has definitely seen better days, but Pantherator is a top-tier Unique that can compete with the big names. Then there's Sah Panthera, which is a decent Apex. I would say Pantherrator is probably your best bet.

KAPROSUCHUS: Similar to Gorgosaurus, I’d recommend going with Megalocevia, as everything using Kaprosuchus is generally underwhelming.

KELENKEN: Grylenken, by a mile. Ovylenken is a good Unique, but it’s not as good as Grylenken in a Legendary format. Grylenken hits hard, can tank hits with dodge, and is just a much better option.

KENTROSAURUS: Kentrosaurus can be used in multiple ways, as long as you avoid Ankyntrosaurus. Trykovenator is a solid Apex, Trykosaurus is a top Unique, and Kentrosaurus itself is one of the best Epics. Not to mention, Thagomizer is arguably one of the best moves in the game.

KOOLASUCHUS: Even after its buff, Skoonametrodon is still the best use. Skoolasaurus has been nerfed, and while Koolasuchus now has the best on-escape move in the game, it still may not be enough. I'd recommend Skoonametrodon.

KOOLASUCHUS GEN 2: Geminideus is a choice, but the whole line is relatively underwhelming overall.

LYSTROSAURUS: This line is mediocre, but Lystrosuchus could be a decent pick. Still, it’s far from stellar.

LYTHRONAX: Purrolyth is a solid option, but you should focus on Grypolyth or Gryganyth. See the section about Gryposuchus for more details.

MAIASAURA: Nominrex is the best choice from this line, as everything else has either been nerfed, fallen off, or both.

MAJUNGASAURUS: Majundasuchus is probably the best in the line, but Majundaboa is another option. Troodaboa is a lesser Unique, and Majungasaurus itself isn’t impressive.

MARSUPIAL LION: This Rare has many viable uses. Go with Pantherator if you want a Unique, or Thylos Intrepidus. Both Uniques are solid, but I favor Pantherator. Aenocyonyx has seen some hits, but it’s still decent. Thylaconyx is still a solid Legendary, but it’s dropped a bit. Marsupial Lion itself is a good Rare with big damage and affliction. Then we have the Apex creatures—Sah Panthera is the choice over Indolycan. So, this is another one dependent upon your focus in the game.

MEGALOCEROS: Megalogaia or Enteloceros are the better options since Megaloceros itself isn’t great. I’d go with Enteloceros, thanks to its resistances, but this line has largely been forgotten. I would recommend holding the DNA.

MEGALONYX: Megalotops has seen better days, but it’s still a good Epic thanks to its kit.

MEGALOSAURUS: Megalocevia is the way to go. Everything else using Megalosaurus is just mediocre.

MEGISTOTHERIUM: Megistotherium itself is a great choice. Its Revenge move is incredibly powerful and can even one-shot Apex creatures like Skoonametrodon and Trykovenator while trapping them in.

MEIOLANIA: Entelolania is the one to focus on. Mammolania is not great, and Meiolania is heavily outclassed by most other Rare Resilients.

MICRORAPTOR: Everything in this line is mediocre. Segnotherisaurus is probably the best option, but none of them are impressive.

MIRAGAIA: Dsungascorpios is the easy pick here, as everything else in this line is just not good.

MONOLOPHOSAURUS: Monolophosaurus has many uses. I’d suggest picking something like Cerastegotops, Skorpiostegotops, Pterovexus, Monomimus, or Monostegotops. All of these are solid in their own rarity and can put in work. I use both Monostegotops and Pterovexus together on my arena team, and they can snowball out of control.

MONOLOPHOSAURUS GEN 2: Monolomoth is the clear winner here. Monolometrodon has dropped drastically, and Monolorhino is no longer a good pick. Scorpios Rex gen 3 and 2 have also fallen to the wayside by quite a bit.

MOROS INTREPIDUS: This is a bad Epic. Thylos Intrepidus, on the other hand, is a great Unique. The choice is clear.

MOSCHOPS: Between Enteloceros and Entelochops, it’s a battle of two mediocre hybrids. I’d say Enteloceros is probably the better option, but don’t waste too much time here.

NASUTOCERATOPS: While Megalotops has seen better days, it’s probably the best use of this Rare’s DNA, relatively speaking.

NODOSAURUS: Nodosaurus is one of the tankiest creatures in the game, probably only behind Gigantspinosaurus as the tankiest non-hybrid. If you cannot remove shields, you cannot win. You can either stall or slowly lose. This is why Nodosaurus DNA is best used on itself. It either wins or stalls out most creatures in its line, excluding the two Apex creatures. It can even bring stronger creatures to their knees, from Rebel to Nominrex. Even Alankydactylus, arguably one of the strongest creatures in the game right now, cannot break it. Nodosaurus is king.

NOMINGIA: While I suggested going for the Apex of Dracovenator or Ceratosaurus, Nomingia is still a solid Unique, and Nominrex is a strong Apex. Either one is a viable option, but I’d lean towards Nomingrex personally as Nomingia faces trouble ahead with Tyrannodactylus and Ampleorex entering the fray. However, you can't go wrong here.

NUNDASUCHUS: There are many hybrids using Nundasuchus, but Rajadorixis is the best by a mile, both in terms of effectiveness and rarity. Pyrorixis, Majundasuchus, Majundaboa, and Nundasuchus itself are also good options, with Sarcorixis probably just behind Rajadorixis in terms of effectiveness.

NYCTOSAURUS: Nyctosaurus is a good Legendary but currently has no hybrid. It's still solid on its own.

OPHIACODON: Tyrannodactylus is likely the best use for Ophiacodon. However, Ankylodicurus and Ankylodactylus are also good picks. Don't overlook Ankylocodon—this tanky beast is almost like a fierce Nodosaurus but isn’t as durable.

ORNITHOMIMUS: Procerathomimus is probably the better option here. Both Ornithomimus and Procerathomimus were strong at one point but have fallen off somewhat.

OURANOSAURUS: Similar to Dilophosaurus, Dilorizon is the one to focus on here. It’s a solid option for what you can build from this line.

OVIRAPTOR: Ovilophosaurus is the best hybrid in this line, but this line in general is pretty bad. Oviraptor is about as good in a rare format, but again, it isn't stellar. So while I say Ovilophosaurus, just hold on to the DNA.

OVIRAPTOR GEN 2: Oviraptor Gen 2 is a decent Epic, but Ovylenken, with its setup potential, is the better choice as a Unique. It’s more versatile in battle.

PACHYCEPHALOSAURUS: This line is a bit of a disappointment. The Epic, Unique, and Apex here are all subpar. Smilocephalosaurus is a solid Legendary with one of the strongest counters in the game and a decent kit.

PANTHERA: Panthera is better as an Epic than Constrictoraptor is as a Unique, as it can perform well above its rarity. Panthera is the easy choice here.

PANTHERA BLYTHEAE: This is a tough choice. Sah Panthera is a viable Apex option, Panthera Blytheae is a good Legendary choice and Pantherator, is a strong option as well. The deciding factor here will be your focus. If I had to choose one, I would probably go Pantherrator, followed by Panthera Blytheae.

PARASAUROLOPHUS: Atrocimoloch is the best pick here. It can be an excellent pivot in the Unique format and can go on the offensive at a moment’s notice. Concatoloch isn’t bad, but it has taken some significant hits recently.

PARASAUROLOPHUS LUX: Parasaurolophus Lux is what you want to focus on. It's a top-tier Legendary that can perform above its weight class. Parasauthops has fallen off significantly, but Parasaur Lux is still holding strong.

PHORUSRACOS: Phorusracos is a good Common on its own. The Phorusaura line isn’t great, except for Nominrex, which is probably the best use of your DNA here. Phorusracos is also a solid common now with its counter and raking impact. Just skip over the rest.

PLATEOSAURUS: You really can’t go wrong with any hybrid in this line. Plateosaurus is the strongest, relatively speaking, but all of these are good options for being tanky creatures that can dish out damage.

POSTOSUCHUS: Postosuchus has some decent uses, like Tyrannometrodon and eventually Skoonametrodon. However, compared to Gryganyth, it's no contest. Gryganyth does it all and outshines Postosuchus and its hybrids.

PREONDACTYLUS: You can’t go wrong with Preondactylus. It, along with its hybrids—Alankylodactylus, Tyrannodactylus, Dreadactylus, and others—has been a strong choice for quite some time. While some of the Legendaries have struggled recently, they still belong in the higher echelons of the Legendary meta. You can’t go wrong here.

PROCERATOSAURUS: I honestly forget this creature exists in the game, and its usefulness reflects that. I’d recommend Procerathomimus, but Dracoceratosaurus is probably just as good. Both are decent but ultimately mediocre picks.

PROTOCERATOPS: Protoceratops is a solid Epic, but Protonodon is a better choice overall, as it generally outperforms it in most situations.

PTERANODON: For Pteranodon, I’d recommend either Quetzorion or Dilorizon. Both are relatively equal in performance, and the other hybrids just aren’t worth the investment.

PULMONOSCORPIUS: For Pulmonoscorpius, I’d probably lean towards Dsungascorpios. This is not because Pulmonoscorpius is inherently bad (it's a really good epic), but rather because leveling Pulmonoscorpius doesn’t significantly differ from a level 30 in many scenarios. Dsungascorpios, on the other hand, will benefit more from the extra HP and attack stats. Neither is a bad option, though and you cannot go wrong here.

PURUSSAURUS: Everything in this line is underwhelming and has been largely forgotten. If I had to choose, I’d go with Scorpius Rex. I didn’t mention it for Monolophosaurus because it’s the most underwhelming of the Legendaries requiring Monolophosaurus. However, what's even worse are Purusaurus, Purutaurus, and Carnotarkus.

PURUSSAURUS GEN 2: This is an easy choice—like Lythronax, go Gryganyth or Grypolyth. These are the better options for this line.

PYRORAPTOR: Like Irritator, Pyroraptor is a bad Epic that makes a solid Apex hybrid. Go for Magnaraptor, and avoid Pyroraptor itself.

PYRORAPTOR GEN 2: As with many creatures in this line, Pyrorixis or Rajadorixis are your best bets.

QUETZALCOATLUS: Similar to Pteranodon, for Quetzalcoatlus, it’s a choice between Quetzorion and Dilorizon. Both are great options and about equal in performance.

QUETZALCOATLUS GEN 2: This Epic was recently nerfed and still has no hybrid. Its best use is on itself, but I would recommend not wasting your DNA on it.

RAJASAURUS: Rajasaurus has a ton of good hybrids, but I would avoid the Diorajasaur line, excluding Rajakylosaurus, as they aren’t worth the investment. Rajasaurus itself is a good Epic, and Rajadotholus is a decent Unique. However, the best use of your Rajasaurus DNA is for Rajadorixis, which is a top-tier Apex and likely your best bet.

REBEL: Rebel doesn't have a hybrid, but it remains a strong creature. It's particularly effective in both the Legendary and Unique formats, making it a sound investment.

RED: Poor Red. I would argue that Atrocodistis is probably the better option, relatively speaking, though they’re quite close. However, both have fallen off somewhat over time.

REXY: Rexy herself is by far the best use of her DNA. Although she’s seen some nerfs in the Legendary format, she’s still a reliable and strong option. The other two in her line have taken much more significant hits and are lower in their respective ranks.

RINCHENIA: Rinchicyon is a decent Legendary but is outclassed by other Cunning creatures like Grylenken and Rebel, as well as the Tyrannosaur trio in the Fierce category. Indochicyon might not be a top Apex, but it does have some niche advantages. I would suggest going for Indochicyon as it can still perform quite well.

RODRIGUES SOLITAIRE: This Rare is fine, and Allodrigues is also decent, but as I've mentioned before, Magnaraptor is a much better option overall and should be prioritized.

SARCOSAURUS: Sarcosaurus is a Legendary that isn’t amazing but also isn’t bad. It’s outclassed by others. However, Sarcomantarx stands out as a top Unique, thanks to its Concussion move, one of the best abilities in the game. It has great stats and a solid kit. Therefore, Sarcomantarx is the way to go.

SARCOSUCHUS: For Sarcosuchus, there are three viable options in this line: Rajadorixis, Sarcorixis, and Pyrorixis, with Rajadorixis being the top choice, followed by Sarcorixis, and then Pyrorixis. Rajadorixis is the strongest overall pick here.

SCAPHOGNATHUS: Scaphotator was buffed but is still not great, and Scaphognathus isn’t any better. If I had to choose between them, I’d go with Scaphognathus for now, but neither is particularly strong. Definitely another one to save resources and wait.

SCELIDOSAURUS: This Legendary isn’t bad, and neither is Rajadotholus. However, Rajadorixis blows them both away and is the clear pick in this line.

SCOLOSAURUS: Like Koolasuchus, everything in this line has taken a hit recently. I would say Skoonametrodon is your best option, as it still performs decently in the current meta.

SCUTOSAURUS: In this line, Sah Panthera wins out as the best pick. It’s the most reliable and versatile choice for handling many different types of opponents.

SECONDONTOSAURUS: Secondontosaurus is the best use here. Ardontosaurus is in the lower half of Legendaries, Ardentismaxima is one of the worst Unique creatures, and Ardontognathus is mediocre at best. Secondontosaurus can be a great Epic if you invest in speed and attack, turning it into a powerful revenge killer.

SINOCERATOPS: Sinoceratops has many good uses. I would avoid the Thoradolosaur line, and if you decide to go down the Draco Lux path (which isn’t bad and can be a wildcard), just go straight to Draco Lux without any detours. That said, I would place my trust in either Spinoceratops, Gigantspinoceratops, or Sinoceratops itself. All three are solid swappers with stunning abilities and reliable output. Dracos Lux is also a valid choice for its RNG potential, but these three are far more consistent in performance.

SINOSAUROPTERYX: These two are both underwhelming. Like the Dodos, they’re part of a forgotten flock. I’d go with Sinokotaraptor, which is the better option, but just hold the DNA for now.

SKORPIOVENATOR: Everything in this line except Skorpiovenator is good. Skorpiodactylus is a tanky swapper that can bleed enemies out, and Skorpiostegotops is a solid Unique that can deal with nullification and distraction. Meanwhile, Cerastegotops is more offensive but just as bulky. Any of these three will serve you well.

SMILODON: Smilocephalosaurus is a decent Legendary with access to one of the strongest counters in the game. However, everything else in this line is mediocre at best and shouldn’t be prioritized.

SONORASAURUS: Like Koolasuchus, I’d recommend going with Skoonametrodon here. This Epic has seen better days and isn’t the best choice overall.

SPHAEROTHOLUS: Once again, Rajadorixis is the best option here. Its dominance in this line is unmatched.

SPINOSAURUS: This line is tough, as most of the creatures here have been outclassed for a long time. That said, Spinoconstrictor or Albertospinos are the best picks in this line.

SPINOSAURUS GEN 2: Things get better here. Unlike its Rare counterpart, Spinosaurus gen 2 has the Spinoceratops line, which contains a good Legendary and a good Unique. I personally use Spinoceratops and lean that direction, but either of these two are good. Avoid the Spinonyx line, even though they look cool.

STEGOCERAS: This Epic is quite weak, and it leads to a mediocre Legendary that then evolves into a solid Apex. Glyptosavis is your best bet in this line.

STEGOSAURUS: I would highly recommend avoiding the Stegodeus line, as Stegodeus is a bad Legendary, and Geminideus has fallen out of favor. Instead, focus on the Stegoceratops line. Stegoceratops is a great Epic, Monostegotops is a good Legendary, Skorpiostegotops is a top Unique, and Cerastegotops is a top Apex. Anything in this line is worth investing in. Just avoid Stegosaurus itself and the Stegodeus line.

STRUTHIOMIMUS: Fukuimimus may have taken a hit in the Legendary format, but Struthiomimus is outright terrible. Fukuimimus is the correct choice here.

STYGIMOLOCH: As with Bumpy, Proto Lux is the top choice here. While Concatoloch and Tuoramoloch aren’t bad by any means, Proto Lux is just better. Atrocimoloch should also be considered in the Unique format, as it can still perform well. Choose between Proto Lux and Atrocimoloch.

STYGIMOLOCH GEN 2: This is one of the worst Commons in the game, and Ovilophomoloch is one of the worst Legendaries, even worse than the Epic Ovilophosaurus. Stygidaryx is a pretty bad Unique, but it does have a few tricks up its sleeve. If you must go down this route, choose Stygidaryx, but don’t waste too much time on this. Just save the DNA as everything here is pretty bad.

STYRACOSAURUS LUX: Like Nomingia, you can go either way here. Before the nerf, Draco Lux would’ve been the obvious choice, but now both options are viable. Styracosaurus Lux is a counter to the top Unique Ampelorex, so either choice is fine.

SUCHOMIMUS: Like Irritator Gen 2, go with Sah Panthera or Thylos Intrepidus or Pantherator while keeping Suchotator in mind as a potential pick.

TANYCOLAGREUS: Tanycolagreus is a solid Common, but Quetzorion and Dilorizon are better in their respective rarities, being about equal in power. I recommend going for either of these two instead.

TAPEJARA: For Tapejara, Quetzalajara is the one to consider here. While I’m not a fan of this Unique, it’s definitely a better choice than Tapejara, which is a pretty mediocre Rare. As always, you could just hold the DNA as well.

TARBOSAURUS: I was initially concerned because I forgot Tarbosaurus went into Compsovenator (who is the winner here). Compsovenator is the better choice, and you should focus on it over anything in the Thoradolosaur line.

TENONTOSAURUS: Tenontosaurus is a good Rare, but Concatosaurus is a fantastic Unique that can compete with Apex creatures. Concatoloch is arguably weaker. I would recommend going for Concatosaurus.

THERIZINOSAURUS: This is a tough one, but Segnotherisaurus seems to be the better pick overall. It’s unfortunate, but this is likely the best use of your Therizinosaurus DNA, especially considering how it was the only good part about Jurassic World Dominion (in my opinion). You can also wait for the future with this one as well.

TIGER: Atrocimoloch is a solid Unique, while Tiger is a decent Epic that has unfortunately fallen off more over time than Atrocimoloch. Go for Atrocimoloch if you're after a more reliable choice.

TITANOBOA: Titanoboa is the best pick in this line. Constrictoraptor isn’t bad, but its usefulness in the Unique format doesn’t match Titanoboa in an Epic format. Stick with Titanoboa.

TITANOBOA GEN 2: For Titanoboa Gen 2, I would suggest Majundaboa. Titanoboa Gen 2 is close but doesn’t hold up to Majundaboa, which can deal great damage and function as a threatening closer, setup, or opener in the Epic format. Troodaboa isn’t good enough to warrant serious consideration.

TRICERATOPS: As long as you avoid investing in Triceratops itself, you’ll be fine. Alankyloceratops is a decent Unique, while Alankydactylus is a top contender in the meta. Like Stegosaurus, the Stegoceratops line is incredibly strong. Stegoceratops is a great Epic, Monostegotops is a strong Legendary, Skorpiostegotops is a top Unique, and Cerastegotops is a top Apex. Don’t sleep on the Stegoceratops line.

TRICERATOPS GEN 2: In this line, Triceratops Gen 2 is probably the better choice over Dracoceratops, which is a weak Legendary. Dracoceratosaurus is decent as a Unique, but Triceratops Gen 2 is the more reliable Common overall.

TROODON: Choose Troodon over Troodaboa due to its Cautious Cunning Rampage, but don’t expect either to perform exceptionally well. Both are underwhelming choices.

TSINTAOSAURUS: Both Tsintaosaurus and Tsintamoth are quite weak. Monolomoth is a much better option and should be your primary focus in this line.

TUOJIANGOSAURUS: Concatoloch wins out here, though Tuoramoloch is a solid Unique (albeit quite stall-heavy). Avoid Diorajasaur and Ankylos Lux, as they’re not worth investing in.

TUPANDACTYLUS: Like Triceratops, avoid investing in Tupandactylus. Instead, focus on eitherPoukandactylus, a top-tier Unique, or the Dimodactylus line, which is incredibly strong with all of its members being among the best in their rarities. It is incredibly difficult to waste this DNA. Just don't level Tupandactylus itself and you're good.

TYRANNOSAURUS REX: Tyrannosaurus has many hybrids, but many of them are not great. Indoraptor is mediocre, Erlidominus is falling off, and Indonemys has been weakened. A 142-speed Tyrannosaurus isn’t as intimidating as it once was. Indochicyon is a solid Apex, but I’d recommend focusing on Trykosaurus, Trykovenator, or Indominus Rex. The original hybrid from Jurassic World still holds value after its buff and can challenge top-tier creatures like Gryganyth and Trykovenator. In the Legendary format, Indominus Rex with a revenge boost can be devastating, making it a solid choice.

TYRANNOSAURUS REX GEN 2: For Tyrannosaurus Rex Gen 2, I recommend going for either Plateorex or Indominus Rex Gen 2. Both are excellent in their respective rarities, with Indominus Rex Gen 2 slightly favored as the better use of this rare.

UTAHRAPTOR: Until you get access to Draco Lux, everything in this line is lackluster. Draco Lux is the obvious choice here.

VELOCIRAPTOR: After excluding the Trykosaurus line from Tyrannosaurus, Indominus Rex is the standout pick for Velociraptor. It’s a great Legendary that’s easy to level and can perform well in the higher arenas, excelling in the Legendary format.

WOOLLY MAMMOTH: Entelomoth just got a buff, but Monolomoth is still the stronger pick overall. The Mammoth line has struggled since 2.0, but Monolomoth is fresh and effective, performing well in the current meta.

WOOLLY RHINO: Woolly Rhino can be used in two ways: either as part of Monolomoth, as with the Mammoth line, or on its own as a swapper with the highest attack in the Epic format. It has been outclassed by Sinoceratops and Stegoceratops, but when off the field, Woolly Rhino is one of the most dangerous swap-ins. So, either invest in Monolomoth or focus on Woolly Rhino itself. Avoid Monolorhino and forget about Keratoporcus entirely.

WUERHOSAURUS: Wuerhosaurus is an easy choice here. It now has access to Thagomizer, one of the best moves in the game, along with a counter that induces vulnerability. This makes Wuerhosaurus capable of dealing devastating damage, even against top-tier creatures like Compsovenator. On the other hand, Carnotarkus is just an outdated Legendary that isn’t as strong. Wuerhosaurus is the way to go.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Well, that’s all! What is that, like 200 nonhybrids that have hybrid potential in the game? This took a while, and seeing as Jam City likes to release new creatures almost every week, there may be some changes that happened while making it- apologies if that occurred in some places. Otherwise, I feel like this is a good tool that will hopefully change over time as I would like to see lesser creatures (like Stygidaryx and Red for example) get some improvements. Remember that there are a lot of choices on what to do with a nonhybrid- level, fuse, hold. Hopefully this overview gives some insight and is helpful to you. Thank you for reading and have a good day.
