The EPIC Tier List- Jurassic World Alive

Eduardo

Hello everybody, welcome back. Today we have the Epic tier list! Each creature in the rarity ranked & why they are placed there.

THE BEST (by far)

Gigantspinosaurus: Epic. Release version 3.4

This is the best epic. You can usually argue that some other creatures may be better than others, but this is not the case. This is the best epic. Heck, if this was a legendary, it would be in probably the top five of that rarity too. Heck, it can do very well in a unique format. And while I am a Gigantspinosaurus hater, it does need to kind of exist. It can take out a bunch of different omegas like Rativates, Olorotitan, and Australotitan. But without a doubt, this is the best epic and arguably in contention for the strongest epic ever.

BATTLESHIPS

Battleships: These are your epics that can come in and solo a team. They can punch major holes or provide such valuable support and synergy. These are the epics that you will see everywhere and need to be taken into account.

Argenteryx: Epic. Release version 2.10

You really can’t swap on it. It keeps dodging and distracting and soaking hit after hit. It has slightly dipped, but it is still stupidly annoying.

Dimodactylus: Epic. Release version 1.5

Dimodactylus will never fall off with Jam City behind the wheel. It just gets more and more love. 50% armor in the swap with bleed and the counter and now all these resistances. Heck you can argue it’s better than Skorpiodactylus with the additional tools it has like no escape. Not to mention it’s probably one of the best creatures to handle Gigantspinosaurus.

Indominus Rex gen 2: Epic. Release version 1.9

Swap in cloak is amazing. Your resistances are great. The strike and rampage are good. The stats are good. Mutual Fury is good. Indominus Rex has so much going for it and makes good use of all its tools. It can hit cunning and flock creatures with the strike. It can rip through resilients with its fierce moves, and cloak can help shut down opposing fierce creatures

Kentrosaurus: Epic. Release version 1.1

In the first article I did for the page, I included a Kentrosaurus matchup chart. It is very good. Thagomizer is one of the best moves in the game and with that counter, even creatures like Compsovenator and Sah Panthera can fall to their knees. And even if you are immune to vulnerability, you still can drop like a stone. Even Rexy at almost 5k hp is no match. Kentrosaurus really only drops to creatures with armor AND vulnerability resistance, and even then, it does a solid chunk.

Megistotherium: Epic. Release version 2.3

Hey, you can deal over 9000 on revenge with precision and a shattering effect, which is amazing when Gigantspinosaurus exists and when omegas like Olorotitan can hide behind so many different effects. And while many creatures can boost up enough to take a Panthera revenge, a Megistotherium revenge isn’t worth boosting up for as much, making its job much easier. However, it really is a one-time use, so save it until the end or when you really need to remove something (like an 8k Olorotitan).

Panthera: Epic. Release version 2.2

Panthera does Panthera things. You revenge kill. Panthera is stupidly good when you’re in the lead, but can struggle when you’re behind. However, Panthera isn’t a one-time use like Megostotherium.

Pulmonoscorpios: Epic. Release version 2.19

It’s a flock that traps and has one of the best moves in the game. Enfeebling impact does so much, especially when paired with its counter. If they’re immune to bleed, stun them and safely swap out. You can do so much with just one move. It is easier to handle when the impact is on cooldown though.

Sarcorixis: Epic. Release version 1.3

I am not a fan of the 153 speed Sarcorixis, but rather a higher damage build because it hits like a truck with ferocious impact, only to follow up with a priority ferocious impact with a boosted immobilize. Or, you can go the stunlock route and immobilize, stunning strike, then ferocious impact. Sarcorixis is one of the main reason why stun resistance is crucial in this format.

AIRCRAFT CARRIERS

Aircraft Carriers: While not as powerful as a battleship, these epics can provide almost as much support and can swing matches with ease. They may not be as strong as the epics above, but they can be just as deadly, and sometimes even deadlier in some scenarios. Just not as often.

Brontolasmus: Epic. Release version 1.9

Brontolasmus is loving the buffs it got. It can’t be gutted by Dimodactylus as easily and now has a turn 2 devastation and a healing move. Brontolasmus is really chilling now and can put in some considerable work.

Baryonyx: Epic. Release version 1.2

Crushing stun is phenomenal and then pair that with the counter and the good stats, and you get a fierce that can put the work in.

Giganotosaurus: Epic. Release version 2.16

Giganotosaurus can win games on its own. It may not be as good as it used to be, but with alert showdown, Giga may be down, but cannot be counted out.

Megalotops: Epic. Release version 2.10

Megalotops has fallen a bit, but still can swap in and deal major damage. All of its moves are great and it has solid stats. The resistances can leave something to be desired.

Titanoboa: Epic. Release version 1.12

The stats and resistances are solid, but the real reason why it’s up here is on escape rampage. Without that, it drops like a stone.

Stegoceratops: Epic. Release version 1.1

I would say Stegoceratops is probably the strongest creature in this tier and could easily move up if I felt like it one day. Stunning slowing impact is just a solid move to have, but the real kicker is its swap to strike combo. If you can be stunned and are below a net 4010 hp, Stegoceratops can just remove you from play with no drawbacks thanks to collision deterring a swap. And with so many people boosting their omegas like Sinraptor to be fast and frail, Stegoceratops can easily pick those creatures with pin immunity off.

For the rest of these, much isn't needed to be said, but I'll go over some that I personally have experience with.

BOMBERS

Bombers: The bombers can come in and do some major work, but they are a bit squishier and have a few more flaws. However, many of the epics in this tier can easily decimate a few of the epics above, but aren’t as dominant in battle.

Ankylodicurus: Epic. Release version 2.4

I was tempted to move up Ankylodicurus, but seeing as I haven't really used it in some time, I decided to leave it here. It's still a great epic that can put the work in with those resistances and stats, but the issue arises when you look at the kit and see how monochromatic it is. Not to mention there are a lot more epics these days that can just wall it or tear right through it. That being said, it's still very good. Hopefully it inherits Ankylocodon's new vitalizing impact (not the Atrocodistis one).

Concavenator: Epic. Release version 1.2

I love Concavenator. I wish they gave it a bit more, but it is still pretty good. It is a great lead that can soak up hits and let the battle go into your favor, even if it goes down in the lead matchup. The devour is great as is the new impact it got, allowing it to better hit Olorotitan and other pesky dodgers.

FIGHTER JETS

Fighter Jets: These are the epics that come out of left field. You don’t expect them, but they can make their presence known and do considerable work. However, this tier cannot make a good team on its own and will need the support of better epics to work.

Red: Epic. Release version 2.18

I love using Red. She hits hard and can really do well in closing out the battle. However, if the opponent has decent armor and shields, she really struggles. However, against many of the better omegas, she can pick up a quick kill.

DESTROYERS

Destroyers: They are just good. They aren’t going to do all the work, but can be a good lead, revenge killer, or swapper.

Spinotahraptor: Epic. Release version 1.1

I was a bit harsh towards Jam City when they buffed this and for good reason. They really screwed the pooch here. That being said, it can do SOME things alright and is definitely better off than the stuff below it. The buff however was poor.

SUBMARINES

Submarines: These epics are the ones no one is expecting, but can do some silly things and pull some sneak attacks. However, these are more for throwing your opponent off their guard and trying to figure out what the heck it’ll do rather than be a reasonable force.

Ovilophosaurus: Epic. Release version 2.4

This was my gimmick pick back in the day, and if I could, I would still use it. It has some funny tools at its disposal and can do some decent work. Before all these resilients came in to ruin its fun, I would've placed it in the tier above, but Gigantspinosaurus easily knocks it down a tier for existing. And omegas don't help much either.

Sinoceratops: Epic. Release version 1.1

Never sleep on Sinoceratops. I am probably a bit biased when it comes to this epic, but I've used it for years and it has always done better than it should've. Maybe that was because of the team surrounding it, but I do think this is a fair placement for it. Not to mention it can do some good work with or without the swap.

INFANTRY

Infantry: These are the last-ditch attempt epics you should use. They are rarely useful, which is better than never useful.

Amargocephalus: Epic. Release version 1.1

I used to play around with this guy back in the day when Argenteryx was a real issue. Now with all the new epics running around designed to beat it along with the epics buffed along the way that also happen to take it on it like Sarcorixis and Kentrosaurus, there really wasn't a need for Amargocephalus anymore. Hopefully it gets some love soon.

CASUALTIES

Casualties: These are sort of a filler slot to be honest. You probably aren’t getting out of this one soldier.

MEN STUCK IN THE TRENCHES OF WWII

Men Stuck in the Trenches of WWII: In defense of those men, they didn’t ask for mustard gas. You had the choice to level and use these creatures. Your loss is on you.

USS WILLIAM D. PORTER

USS William D. Porter: The story of this destroyer is pretty funny and sad. Just like my level 25 useless Koolasuchus. Like even for raids, what is it going to do. At the time, since epic raids didn’t have minions, it was a wasted slot. And it hasn’t seen a change since.
